Zydus Cadila has received the Food and Drug Administration's green light for ranolazine extended-release tablets in a dosage strengths of 500 mg and 1,000 mg.
The product is the generic of Gilead’s Ranexa, 500 mg and 1,000 mg.
It is used to treat chronic angina and may be used with other medicines that are used for heart problems and blood pressure control.
Zydus’ ranolazine will be manufactured at the group’s formulations manufacturing facility at Baddi.
