Publix offering Veterans Day discount

11/3/2020

Publix is showcasing its appreciation for veterans, active military and their families this Veteran’s Day.

The Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer announced that on Nov. 11, it will be offering a 10% discount on groceries to those who present their veteran or military ID card at checkout, as well as to those who show their discharge document or a license with a veteran designation.

“Publix is proud to once again provide a discount to veterans and current military in our communities,” Maria Brous, director of communications at Publix, said. “We are a company founded on the ideal of service to others, and this discount is a small gesture of gratitude for the sacrifices our veterans and military families have made, and many continue to make, for our country.”

Items that will not be included in the discount include prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery tickets, postage stamps and money services, the company said.
