12/18/2018
Rite Aid has added someone with more than 20 years of tech leadership experience to its executive team. The Camp Hill, Pa.-based retailer announced Tuesday that Justin Mennen had been named to senior vice president and chief information officer, overseeing all aspects of its technology and information operations, including enterprise systems and applications, network, core infrastructure, and information security.

Mennen also will oversee development and execution of Rite Aid’s near- and long-term information technology strategy. He will report to Darren Karst, the company’s senior executive vice president, CFO and chief administrative officer.

He joins Rite Aid from CompuCom Systems, where he was chief digital officer and chief information officer. In that role he led the company’s digital business, overseeing digital strategy, innovation, digital buildings, consulting services, product engineering and enterprise architecture. He previously led tech organizations across several industries, including as vice president of enterprise architecture and technology innovations at Estée Lauder.

“Justin is a highly experienced leader with a successful track record in creating, driving and delivering value and results through innovative technology and digital solutions,” Karst said. “His experience will be extremely valuable to Rite Aid as we look to strengthen and modernize the company’s infrastructure to enable growth, drive efficiencies across the company and enhance the experiences of our valued customers and associates.”
