Target looks to help last-minute holiday shoppers

Target wants to help stressed-out, last-minute holiday shoppers find some ease by guaranteeing that eligible orders placed online will be delivered for free by Christmas Eve.

In addition, the Minneapolis-based retailer is offering pickup and delivery options on such products as clothing, top toys, electronics, beauty and grooming, home items and treats.

Until Dec. 23, most of Target’s stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight. On Christmas Eve, doors will open at 7 a.m. and close by 10 p.m. Further information on local stores can be found by visiting the retailer’s app.

For guaranteed free shipping by Christmas Eve, orders must be placed by 11:55 p.m. CT on Dec. 20, with free holiday shipping, checked.

Express one-day shipping orders must be placed by Dec. 21, in order for the items to be delivered by Dec. 24. Order cutoff times may vary as well as fees, for further information, the retailer recommends visiting its website.

To pick up an order for free at a store, it must be placed via Target’s website or app by 6 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve.

For same-day delivery shopped by Shipt, shoppers must place the order at least two hours prior to closing on Christmas Eve.
