The Disney Store experience comes to Target

8/26/2019
Target is about to get a whole lot more magical.

During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., the retailer's CEO Brian Cornell and Bob Chapek, the chairman of Disney parks, experiences and products, announced that the two companies would be partnering on the Disney store at Target, which will hit 25 select locations in October.

Featuring more than 450 such items as toys, games, apparel and accessories, guests will be able to find Disney Princess, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney Junior characters and Classic Disney plush, apparel, home and holiday products.

In addition, 40 more locations are scheduled to open by October 2020, and the experience will be available for consumers online beginning Oct. 4.

By working closely with Disney, Target was able to co-develop and design the store with music, interactive displays, photo ops and a seating area where families can watch Disney movie clips, the companies said.

Shoppers also will be able to find a new Target store that is set to open near the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in 2020.

Target benefits and services will be available for customers to use both in-store and online when shopping at the Disney store at Target, the company said.
