Schnuck Markets is keeping with a decades-long tradition this holiday season.

The retailer is once again partnering with The Salvation Army on the annual Tree of Lights campaign, which will run from Nov. 14 to 25.

Customers are able to participate by opting to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout. One-hundred percent of donations received will support The Salvation Army, the company said.

“Joining with The Salvation Army for the roundup campaign and welcoming bell ringers at our entrances are part of our commitment to nourish people’s lives,” Schnucks chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck said. “We know the need in our communities is great, and because of the support from our generous customers, many people will be able to count on The Salvation Army for the help they need.”

At the conclusion of the campaign, the retailer will again welcome The Salvation Army’s bell ringers and their iconic red kettles at all Schnucks stores from Nov. 27 to Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.

The Salvation Army uses funds raised during the Tree of Lights campaign to provide assistance to the most vulnerable citizens, as the organization helps provide food, utility payments and emergency rent and mortgage payments throughout the year.

“The Salvation Army values our partnership with Schnucks and the company’s continued support of our fundraising goals,” said Salvation Army Divisional Commander Lt. Colonel Robert Webster. “Their commitment to the communities we serve is exemplary, and we are grateful for the generosity of Schnucks customers who also recognize the need is great.”
