Stop & Shop appoints new finance SVP

Stop & Shop’s leadership division is undergoing changes.

The Quincy, Mass.-based retailer announced that Mary Lynn Phillips would be taking over as its new senior vice president of finance, effective Dec. 3.

“We are incredibly excited to have Mary Lynn Phillips join the Stop & Shop team as we continue to reposition our brand for the future and build a strong foundation for growth,” Gordon Reid, the president of Stop & Shop said. “Phillips’ leadership capabilities along with her broad financial and operational experience in highly competitive markets will help drive Stop & Shop’s financial performance in 2020 and beyond.”

Phillips was most recently the chief financial officer for Stuart Weitzman, and previously served as the senior vice president, chief financial offer for Talbots.

She also served as the vice president of finance and operations of Coach’s North America division, the company said.
