Zydus Cadila receives FDA nod for generic Pamelor
Zydus Cadila's generic Pamelor is indicated to treat such mental/mood problems as depression.
Zydus Cadila has obtained the Food and Drug Administration’s blessing for nortriptyline hydrochloride capsules, in dosage strengths of 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg.
The medication is the generic of Teva’s Pamelor.
Nortriptyline hydrochloride capsules are used to treat mental/mood problems such as depression. It may help improve mood and feelings of well-being, relieve anxiety and tension, and increase one's energy level.
The newly approved medication will be manufactured at the group's formulation manufacturing facility at SEZ, Ahmedabad.
