Kroger expands vaccinations in Ohio stores

8/6/2008

NEW YORK Kroger is offering immunizations against Hepatitis A and B, bacterial meningitis, Tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough and pneumonia, particularly for adults bound for college, foreign countries or health-care careers.

The immunizations are available at Kroger’s pharmacies in Ohio without appointment.

The Centers for Disease Control has recommended bacterial meningitis, also known as meningococcal meningitis, a disease that can be fatal to children, adolescents and young adults. Hepatitis A and B vaccinations are important for people traveling abroad, especially to developing countries.
