6 retailers win Total Store Awards at 26th annual Issue Summit hosted by DSN, The CPG Guys

At the 26th annual Issue Summit event on Dec. 4 in New York City, a select number of retailers received Total Store Awards for their achievements in brand marketing, retail media and customer engagement programs.

Presented by DSN and The CPG Guys, the awards are intended to showcase the best and brightest of business acceleration in our industry vertical.

Best Retailer Omnichannel Consumer Wellness Program - Walmart

This award recognizes the retail focus to truly engage and provide omnichannel leadership in wellness. This Total Store Awards recognize outstanding brand and retail commercial effort in the area of omnichannel Health and Beauty Care. The recipient has showcased the best and brightest of business acceleration in our industry vertical. In particular we recognize the home delivery service and the energy, effort and success of Walmart prescription home delivery service—to make consumer wellness convenience the anchor of success.

Best Brand Loyalty-Enabled Retail Media Platform - Kroger

This award recognizes the decade plus leadership KPM/84.51 has brought to the CPG industry by partnering with brands to advance their omnichannel pursuits by building brand loyalty through behavior based audience creation, targeting and measurement. Brands are able to readily identify and focus on audiences for growth and easily create full funnel campaigns based on their brand objectives. This results in sustained, long term growth in categories at retail and helps develop and sustain brand equity. This is true omnichannel excellence in marketing and loyalty. Chandra DiGregorio, vice president, Commercial Insights & Loyalty, accepted the award.

Best Full Funnel Retail Media - Walgreens

In today’s media world where linear TV and mass print media no longer provide reliable and sizable audiences the platforms for product discovery and awareness, Retail Media increasingly offers advertisers with a compelling alternative. Walgreens Advertising Group has assembled a suite of retail media ad products that present brands with full funnel consumer engagement with closed-loop measurement of performance on-site, off-site and in-store. Best Marketing - Merchandising Collaboration in Retail Media - CVS Health

Driving the growth of retail media requires that all participating entities are aligned on producing positive outcomes for the consumers, the brand and the retailer. Too often that alignment is not achieved because of competing interests. At CVS Health, Brand advertisers leverage rich behavioral insights to identify meaningful audiences to target and engage across the funnel to help achieve growth for brands and retailers while delighting CVS shoppers.

CVS Merchants recognize the important role that CVS Media Exchange plays in building the retail front of store’s omnichannel performance and partner with their retail media colleagues in ensuring that brands invest in a collaborative way to ensure all parties are satisfied with the measurable outcomes that the platform delivers.

Cross functional leadership in Health & Wellness - Wakefern 

This is a special award and a first of its kind for a career of service to both brands and retail and the impact it has on consumers. It recognizes the excellence in an individuals career to have developed both cross category and cross functional retail skills that span supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, brand/vendor partnerships for sustained growth, and to have also demonstrated cross category across the store leadership across the store. Today, we recognize once such individual who has indeed served the pharmacy wellness consumer and the center store FMCG consumer.

Best OTC Omnichannel Product Launch - Amazon/Bayer One A Day Daily Essentials

Bayer & Amazon Identified unmet consumer segments online with differentiated formulas that would drive valuable offerings in subscription friendly sizes that align with consumer preference. This has resulted in increased subscription adoption among One A Day loyalists and new to One A Day consumers alike.

Collaboratively, they delivered five unique multivitamin ASINs and leveraged a mid-to-low funnel media approach focusing on active nutrition buyers that are in the market for multivitamins or have lapsed on previous One A Day purchases. Additionally, they led with key promotion vehicles and took advantage of Prime Day/Events to drive ASIN conversions resulting in boosts to organic traffic. 

Conducted significant research, optimization and testing content  to deliver an elevated experience. Saw conversion at launch more than 2X previous launch. Hundreds of reviews have been left with all products at 4.6 and 4.7 stars. Consumer feedback has been tremendously positive.
