Airthings’ indoor air quality monitor, Wave Mini, is expanding its distribution.
The company, which produces indoor air quality and radon monitors for homeowners, businesses and professionals, announced that one of its products would be available at a major retailer.
By the end of August, consumers will be able to find the Airthings Wave Mini at more than 9,900 of CVS Heath’s retail locations, the Chicago-based company said.
Inside CVS Pharmacy stores, shoppers will be able to locate the Wave Mini alongside other air quality products such as air purifiers and humidifiers.
The Wave Mini, which is Bluetooth-enabled, is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand and can be mounted or placed anywhere. Through its smartphone app, users will be able to address any such potential health risks as allergies, asthma and mold, before it becomes serious, the company said.
“Our core mission at Airthings is to educate people everywhere about the dangers of poor indoor air quality, and provide them with technology to help them breathe better and live better,” said Oyvind Birkenes, CEO of Airthings. “The path to achieving better indoor air quality shouldn’t be intimidating, expensive or complicated. We’ve long admired CVS Health’s dedication to connecting people with products that make healthcare more accessible and affordable. We believe Airthings products will help them continue making this goal a reality, and we couldn’t be more pleased to begin offering our products to customers in CVS Health locations across the United States.”
