Albertsons offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations
Albertsons is offering COVID-19 vaccinations without an appointment at all of its banners nationwide. The company announced the move Thursday, noting that there still will be an online resource for patients to schedule vaccination appointments over a two-week window.
“We are committed to offering convenient and easy to access vaccination solutions for our customers,” said Omer Gajial, senior vice president of Albertsons pharmacy and health. “As COVID-19 vaccine supply has improved, we are enabling walk-in vaccination solutions available across all our pharmacies.”
Albertsons also is offering discounts for customers who receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Newly vaccinated patients will receive a 10% coupon for a grocery purchase up to $200, with certain conditional exceptions.
Albertsons said that to date, its banners have administered more than 4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines at more than 1,700 stores.
