Alembic is launching two new generic medications.
The company is offering entacapone tablets, a generic of Orion’s Comtan tablets, in a dosage strength of 200 mg.

Entacapone tablets are an inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferaseMT, used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease as an adjunct to levodopa and carbidopa therapy.
Alembic’s generic Comtan is available in 100-count bottles.
In addition, the company is introducing nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide ointment, a generic of Taro’s nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide ointment in 100,000 units/g.

The medication, which is indicated for the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis, is available in 15-gram, 30-gram and 60-gram tubes.
