Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced the launch of its acitretin capsules USP, 10mg, 17.5mg,and 25mg. Alembic’s acitretin capsules USP, 10 mg, 17.5mg and 25mg have been determined to be bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, soriatane capsules, 10mg, 17.5mg and 25mg of Stiefel Laboratories, Inc. (Stiefel). Acitretin capsules are indicated for the treatment of severe psoriasis in adults.

Acitretin must not be used by females who are pregnant, or who intend to become pregnant during therapy or at any time for at least three years following discontinuation of therapy.
Alembic will offer acitretin capsules USP, in strengths of 10mg, 17.5mg and 25mg, all in 30-ct bottles.
