Alembic receives FDA blessing for Levitra generic

Patients with erectile dysfunction soon will have an additional generic treatment option.

The Food and Drug Administration has given Alembic the nod for vardenafil hydrochloride tablets in dosage strengths of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg.

The product is the generic of Bayer’s Levitra tablets.

Vardenafil hydrochloride tablets have a market value of roughly $35 million for the 12 months ended June 2020, according to IQVIA.
