Amgen, MinuteClinic offer LDL-C testing at no cost

High LDL-C or 'bad cholesterol' is a leading modifiable risk factor for heart attack and stroke. Yet many remain unaware of their high LDL levels due to the absence of symptoms. This is the contention of Amgen, which over the past year, has helped thousands of people take important steps to learn more about their heart health through its no cost LDL-C testing program. 

As part of this effort, Amgen is making it even easier for communities across the nation to improve access to cholesterol testing. Individuals can now obtain an LDL-C test at no cost to them at approximately 1,000 MinuteClinic locations, found inside select CVS Pharmacy stores nationwide.

Amgen also will continue to offer no cost LDL-C home and lab tests for individuals who sign-up. More information about all LDL-C testing options is available at WhatismyLDL.com.
