Aurobindo obtains FDA green light for generic Cosopt
Aurobindo's generic Cosopt is a treatment for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to beta-blockers.
Aurobindo has received the Food and Drug Administration’s stamp of approval for dorzolamide HCl and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, 2% / 0.5%, in10-ml bottles.
The product is the generic of Akorn’s Cosopt.
It is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to beta-blockers.
