Aurobindo obtains FDA permission for generic Meticorten
The Food and Drug Administration has given Aurobindo clearance for prednisone tablets in a dosage strength of 1 mg.
Aurobindo’s product is the genetic of Shering Plough’s Meticorten.

The product is indicated for endocrine disorders, rheumatic disorders, collagen diseases, dermatologic diseases, allergic states, ophthalmic diseases, respiratory diseases, hematologic disorders, neoplastic diseases, edematous states, gastrointestinal diseases, and tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy; trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement.
