Bartell Drugs offering flu shots at its pharmacies

With cooler temperatures slowly approaching, Bartell Drugs is looking to help those interested in obtaining a flu vaccine for the season.

The Seattle-based retailer announced that vaccinations are now available at its pharmacies.

In order to keep with the current social distancing guidelines being mandated, Bartell’s is implementing a scheduling system that allows for a gap of time between customers in order for critical cleaning practices to be followed, the company said.   

Those who would like to obtain a flu vaccine are to schedule their date and time of preference online via the Bartell Drugs website.

Upon arrival, customers must check-in at the pharmacy drop-off window and must wear a mask for the duration of their appointment. Short health screenings also will be administered prior to the vaccination, the company said.

“Getting vaccinated for the flu is more important now than ever. Getting a flu shot early in the season will reduce the spread of the flu, leaving healthcare providers to focus on patients battling COVID-19.” Billy Chow, vice president of pharmacy at Bartell Drugs said.
