BJ’s Wholesale Club adds curbside pickup to contactless shopping options

8/24/2020

BJ’s Wholesale Club is giving shoppers a contactless way to grab whatever items they need.

The Westborough, Mass.-based retailer announced the launch of curbside pickup at all of its locations.

“It’s more important than ever to provide our members with a variety of convenient options to shop the club,” Jeff Desroches, executive vice president, club operations officer said. “Our new, contactless curbside pickup service is another example of how we’re focused on getting members the products they want, however they want.”

Shoppers interested in grabbing what they need without having to physically step inside the store can order their items via BJs.com or the BJ’s app to have their items delivered straight to their vehicle.

Once orders are ready for pickup, the warehouse club’s members simply need to park in one of the designated curbside parking spaces, check-in on the app and an associate will bring the order out and load it onto the vehicle, the company said.

In addition to general merchandise products, groceries and sundries available for the buy online and pick up in-club option, the retailer also is expanding to add fresh and frozen groceries to the roster of offerings.

The current expansion of buy online and pick up in-club service is only available at select clubs at the moment, but will be available at all locations by the end of October, the company said.
