BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking to reach a new wave of consumers.

The Westborough, Mass.-based warehouse club operator announced plans to open two new locations in the state of New York in 2021.

Located in Long Island City and Newburgh, the two new clubs will feature an extensive selection of fresh foods, a full-service deli, and household essentials, as well as hold treasure-hunt experiences, the company said.

One difference between the two clubs is that the Newburgh location will be the one to also have a BJ’s Gas open.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in New York and bring outstanding value and savings to families in Long Island City and Newburgh,” Lee Delaney, president and CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club said. “BJ’s brings a fresh approach to the wholesale club experience by providing our members with outstanding value and convenience on everything they need for their family. We look forward to opening our two new clubs and BJ’s Gas location and continue our growth as a company.”

Expected to bring about 300 jobs to the region, the two new clubs will bring the retailer’s total locations in the state to 45.

The club in Long Island City, which is being developed by Philips International Development, will be located at 34-60 48th street.

The Newburgh location, being developed by Goddard Development Partners, will be located at 401 Auto Park Place.
