BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening a brand new location.
The Westborough, Mass.-based retailer announced its newest club location in Chesterfield, Mich., which is set to open its doors on July 31.
“We’re excited to open our doors at the end of July and provide our community with the convenience and value of a BJ’s membership,” Malika Harris, general manager of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Chesterfield, Mich., said. “The safety of our members, team members and community is always our top priority. Our team members have been working hard to prepare for the opening with additional operational safety protocols to ensure a healthy and safe shopping environment. We’re grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received so far and look forward to providing essential services to the Chesterfield community.”
Located at 45101 Town Center Blvd., the site will feature a BJ’s Gas onsite and a snack shop where cookies and other snacks will be available.
In addition, the retailer is implementing operational protocols to help promote a healthy and safe environment for both shoppers and team members.
At this new location, as well as others from the retailer, enhanced cleaning procedures will be implemented. High-traffic surfaces will be cleaned with greater frequency and additional sanitation supplies for both members and team members will be available.
Both team members and shoppers also will be required to wear masks in the store, unless diagnosed with a medical condition preventing them from doing so.
Team members will have their temperatures checked as they report to work, and social distancing will be encouraged with instructional signage, as well as with plexiglass barriers.
