Blink Health offers free medications on various prescriptions
Blink Health, a digital health company, is getting into the holiday spirit by offering new patients more than 4,000 medications for free.
While the holidays are a joyful season, they can also be a stressful time for millions of people, especially with the increased expense of gift-giving or travel. A recent study showed that 27% of Americans expect to go into debt due to holiday spending, and nearly half say they feel “intense personal stress” leading up to the season, the company said.
“Prescription drug prices are simply too high for too many people. We have all heard the tragic stories of people having to decide between taking their medications and eating, or cutting pills in half to save money — that’s simply not acceptable. Prescription drug prices are simply too high for too many people,” Geoff Chaiken, Blink Health CEO said. “At Blink Health, we’re focused on fixing that problem by putting the interests of patients first — not large corporations.”
In addition, healthcare costs are continuing to rise, with Americans spending $1,200 on prescription drugs on average every year — the highest amount in the world. As a result, approximately three in ten adults report not taking their medications as prescribed because of the cost, the company said.
New patients who sign up and order their first prescription through Blink Health will be provided with a credit of up to $10 off their first order, which covers many of the most popular prescription drugs available through Blink Health, including typical monthly quantities and doses of:
