Crayola looks to make back-to-school season vibrant

Crayola is looking to make the back-to-school season a little more colorful.

The Easton, Pa.-based company unveiled its new Take Note line, which consists of washable gel pens and erasable highlighters in a range of bold colors.

Take Note’s gel pens feature vibrant colors in a quick-dry washable formula, while the highlighters easily erase.

“At Crayola, we strive to provide kids with the tools they need to unleash their creativity and express themselves through color,” Kim Rompilla, vice president of global product portfolio marketing at Crayola, said. “We research and transform trends into innovation, so we can constantly and consistently bring new news and excitement to the marketplace. We are excited to introduce Take Note, which gives students a colorful way to stay on track all year long, in school and at home.”

The complete line includes:

  • Washable gel pens, which feature colored gel ink that easily washes off hands and clothes; and

  • Erasable highlighters, which are dual-sided. The product has bright colors on one end and on the other a clear ink tip that allows for easy removal.

Crayola’s Take Note washable pens and highlighters are available at retailers nationwide and online for the suggested retail price of $5.99 for a six-count pack, and $11.99 for a 14-count pack.
