Dawn tackles dirty dishes with Powerwash spray

Procter & Gamble’s Dawn is looking to change up the way consumers do their dishes.

The Cincinnati-based company wants to make it easier for people to get out of the kitchen with its new Powerwash Dish Spray.

“Cleaning as you go is something we do all around our homes today to try and stay ahead of the mess,” Kristine Decker, the brand director for North America dish care at Procter & Gamble, saod. “We saw this increasing trend as an exciting opportunity to invent a product designed to make cleaning dishes as you go faster and easier, so people can spend less time at the sink, and more time doing what’s important to them.”

Featuring a spray-foam formula that works on contact to remove food from dishes, no water is required by users until the final rinse, the company said.

In addition, the sprayer contains a nozzle with a spray chamber that mixes the product with air to create suds that spread evenly over surfaces and loosen burnt-on and baked-on messes.

Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray has been designed as a refill model with a reusable sprayer that disconnects from an empty bottle and can be attached to a 16-oz. refill, and is available in three scents — fresh, apple and citrus.
