Dr. Reddy’s debuts generic Syprine

Dr. Reddy’s is offering trientine hydrochloride capsules in a dosage strength of 250 mg.

The product is the generic of Alton Pharma’s Syprine (trientine hydrochloride) capsules.

“We are pleased to provide this convenient alternative for patients, pharmacists and distribution partners,” said Marc Kikuchi, CEO and head of Dr. Reddy’s North America generics. “Our product can be stored at room temperature (20°C to 25°C or 68°F to 77°F) throughout the product shelf life of 24 months.”

Dr. Reddy’s trientine hydrochloride capsules are available in 100 count bottles.

Syprine brand and generic products had a market value of approximately $94.2 million for the most recent 12 months ending in December 2019, according to IQVIA.
