Former U.S. Senator Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., will share his thoughts on the state of politics and issues, including immigration, fiscal policy and trade during the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. He will speak at the invitation only Chain Members Breakfast and NACDS-PAC Event on April 29.

First elected to Congress in 2000, Jeff Flake served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives prior to his election to the U.S. Senate in 2012. On Jan. 29, the senator announced that he will not be running for president in 2020, but instead will be joining CBS News as a contributor.

“NACDS is excited to welcome Senator Flake to our 2019 NACDS-PAC Breakfast. This event is known for providing attendees with compelling insights from those highly engaged in some of the most pressing issues in the policy and political arenas. Senator Flake will bring his thoughts on the state of politics and the state of issues including immigration, fiscal policy and trade – all of which are shaping the environment in which NACDS and all advocates are operating today,” NACDS president and CEO Steve Anderson said.

The NACDS luncheon, which takes place on April 29 from noon to 2 p.m., will feature Katherine Wintsch, founder and CEO of The Mom Complex. Wintsch works with such companies as Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Chobani and Pfizer to help develop better products and services for mothers.
