Dyper, Oilogic wow buyers at ECRM virtual baby & infant session

Dyper won the Drug Store News/ECRM Buyers’ Choice Award for its Bamboo Baby Diapers at ECRM’s Baby & Infant Virtual Session held in July. Oilogic was a finalist for its Stuffy Nose & Cough Epsom Soak.

The products were selected from dozens of entries submitted by participating suppliers. Buyers were able to evaluate each entry and cast their votes based on product packaging and innovation via the Drug Store News-branded Buyers Choice Awards section of the ECRM Connect platform.

“The two winners have developed innovative products that address sustainability issues while providing for the needs of baby and infant care,” said Tony Giovanini, senior vice president of General Merchandise for ECRM. “Dyper’s eco-friendly diapers help to reduce waste, while Oilogic uses the power of natural and cruelty-free ingredients in its products. Congratulations to both winners.”

Dyper executives said that it is focused on leading a movement for more responsible diapering by offering an eco-friendly alternative to traditional disposables while still delivering on functionality. The company's diapers are developed with bamboo plants and PLA biodegradable materials. Dyper's Bamboo Baby Diapers are unprinted, unscented, soft, and backed by OEKO TEX Standard 100 certifications for safety.

Dyper also offsets the entire lifecycle with certified carbon offsets. The diapers are packaged in oxo-degradable materials and non-virgin containers, and are engineered to be compostable and eligible for its REDYPER program in partnership with TerraCycle. Consumers can also return the diapers for centralized composting, avoiding landfills and further reducing environmental impact.

Oilogic is focused on using essential oils in its collection of topical personal care products for babies, toddlers and children. All of its products are free of petroleum, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, sulfates and dyes, as well as cruelty-free and vegan.

Its lineup includes vapor baths, roll-ons and diffusing oils. The company's Calm & Sleep collection uses essential oils' relaxing nature properties to calm kids before bed or nap time. Oilogic also has a Stuffy Nose & Cough collection designed to help soothe coughs and stuffy noses in children ages 6 months old and older.

Oilogic also offers an Essential Oil Salt Soak, which combines Epsom salt and a blend of essential oils diluted to be safe for babies 6 months old and older. It is free of synthetic fragrance and uses a blend of lavandin oil, orange oil, fir needle oil, eucalyptus oil and cypress oil. It can be used with Oilogic’s Stuffy Nose & Cough Essential Oil Roll-on and Diffusing Oil to give additional comfort once out of the bath.
