FDA clears Zydus Cadila's generic Fioricet

People who suffer from tension headaches can expect a new generic of a common treatment option. 

The Food and Drug Administration has approved Zydus Cadila’s butalbital, acetaminophen and caffeine tablets in the dosage strength of 50mg/325mg/40 mg.

This combination of medication is used to treat tension headaches.  

The drug will be manufactured at Nesher Pharma’s manufacturing facility in St. Louis.
