FDA gives Alembic OK for generic Dilacor
Generic Dilacor is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and the management of chronic stable angina.
Alembic has received the Food and Drug Administration’s permission for diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsules, in dosage strengths of 120mg, 180mg and 240mg, which is the generic of Allergan’s Dilacor.
Generic Dilacor is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Diltiazem hydrochloride may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications, such as diuretics. It also is indicated for the management of chronic stable angina, Alembic said.

Diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsules, 120mg, 180mg and 240mg have a market value of $28.2 million for the 12 months ending June 2024, per IQVIA.
