According to the organization, its food pantry addresses a critical need in the county, where more than 17% of families are food insecure and approximately 55% of children receive free or reduced school lunches. The food pantry distributed over 2 million lbs. of food in 2021, helping feed more than 188,000 people.

"Food Lion Feeds is stepping up to support this ministry with a substantial gift to help purchase a permanent home for us. It feels amazing to know that Food Lion believes in the mission and vision of A Touch of the Father's Love," said April Baker, executive director of Touch of the Father's Love.
