Giant Food’s Ship2Me digital marketplace offers wide product assortment

Giant Food has launched Ship2Me, a digital marketplace.

Offering consumers products that widen the retailer’s assortment beyond traditional grocery, Ship2Me offerings include health and beauty, home décor, seasonal items, kitchen and dining, outdoor, pet and pantry item.

“Online grocery demand continues to grow, and we are constantly working to increase our capabilities and offerings to best serve the communities we operate in,” Ira Kress, president of Giant Food said. “We are thrilled to be the first brand under the Ahold Delhaize USA family to be launching Ship2Me and bringing this innovative and expansive marketplace to our customers.”

Found on GiantFood.com, the digital marketplace also gives shoppers the convenience of adding items to their cart alongside any Giant Pickup or Giant Delivers products for easy and seamless checkout.

“At Giant, we are always looking for ways to give time back to our customers and make our services more convenient and accessible,” Gregg Dorazio, the director of eCommerce for Giant Food said. “The introduction of Ship2Me allows Giant to expand its assortment within traditional and nontraditional grocery categories, making it the most seamless one-stop-shop for our customers.”

Currently, there is no order minimum for customers purchasing only Ship2Me items, and ground shipping is free on any order, the company said.

In addition, Giant Food plans to expand the number of products and vendors available through the digital marketplace. Giant Flexible Rewards members can earn loyalty points on Ship2Me items purchases, which can be redeemed for grocery savings with Giant or gas savings through Giant’s Fuel Rewards program.

Ship2Me is available to customers throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
