Giant is looking to help families prepare fresh meals this fall.

With the help of its team of nutritionists, the Carlisle, Pa.-based retailer will be hosting free, live virtual cooking classes via Zoom for cooks of all ages throughout September and October.

Throughout September, Giant will encourage cooks of all ages to prepare simple and affordable recipes in honor of National Family Meals Month, which sheds light on the importance of sharing meals together.

In addition, the retailer also will give away three pantry makeover experiences, worth up to $150 each. To enter for a chance, those interested in participating simply need to attend as many free virtual cooking classes as they desire during September, as one attendance counts as an entry.

During each class, Giant nutritionists will shed a light on food insecurity, how others can be helped and savvy ways to make meals on a budget. Seeing as orange is the color of hunger, each week will include an affordable, orange-inspired recipe to raise awareness, the company said.

In October, the classes will take explore tastes from around the world with cuisine and additional information about several countries from around the globe, including an Oktoberfest series, French Croque madame, Korean beef tacos and Vietnamese spring rolls.
