Giant plans new Pennsylvania location

Giant is making plans for a brand new store.

Set to be located in Doylestown, Pa., the location will be built at 4377 West Swamp Road, replacing the current store near the same area.

“This latest project is part of our continuing investment in our store base to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and best meet their grocery needs,” Nicholas Bertram, president of The Giant Co., said. “Today’s customers are looking for quick, easy and affordable meal solutions, allowing families to spend more time together around the table. Our new Doylestown store will feature amenities and offerings to bring convenience front and center for our customers.”

Construction, which is set to begin in mid-March, will highlight meal solutions, and feature expanded hot food and ready to eat offerings, an updated beer and wine eatery, as well as an in-store Starbucks, the company said.

Current employees of the Doylestown store will be transferred to the new location, and additional team members also will be hired.
