Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s ThoughtSpot going virtual again this year
Good Neighbor Pharmacy is taking its annual conference and trade show virtual for a second year. The company’s ThoughtSpot 2021 conference, which kicks off July 27, will offer on-demand continuing education classes, entertainment as well as keynote addresses, entertainment and musical performances.
Hosted via AmerisourceBergen’s online AB Live event platform, ThoughtSpot 2021 will be offered at no cost to attendees. AmerisourceBergen also said it would be honoring the ThoughtSpot 2021 Generics Rebate for eligible customers who register by March 31 and participate in the event.
“With more than 90% of people living within five miles of a community pharmacy, pharmacists have the unique reach and ability to provide access to the COVID-19 vaccine and support broad vaccination efforts, particularly for rural areas and under-resourced patient populations,” said Rich Tremonte, executive vice president and president of community pharmacy at AmerisourceBergen. “Everyone at AmerisourceBergen is standing with our pharmacies, and we know it is critical that such care continues without interruption.”
The company said that in addition to focusing on the health and safety of its customers, partners and associates, AmerisourceBergen also recognizes the role of pharmacists as essential healthcare providers in their communities and wants to keep them in their communities to help provide critical care and vaccine access.
“In the months ahead, we know that communities across the country will be leaning on their local independent community pharmacy as we continue to navigate this pandemic and the national COVID-19 vaccination strategy unfolds,” said Brian Nightengale, president of Good Neighbor Pharmacy. “We will certainly miss the opportunity to engage face-to-face with our customers, partners, and associates across the country in Las Vegas, but we’re excited to make our programming virtual so our pharmacists can be where they’re needed most.”
Also among the on-demand offerings will be general sessions and keynote addresses. Live webinars also will be offered, and the event will feature Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s annual Pharmacy of the Year award.
