H-E-B launches $1M fund to address racial inequality

H-E-B’s newest Houston location is growing the retailer’s footprint in the city’s inner loop.

H-E-B is investing in growing its footprint in south Austin, announcing a $200 million investment that will bring three new stores to the area and remodel an existing location. The company said it’s expecting to create more than 1,000 jobs with the effort.

The company said the My H-E-B app is part of its efforts to focus on innovation and build out its digital services.

The H-E-B Meyerland Market is a 95,000-sq.-ft., two-story store that replaces one that closed due to damage sustained from floods in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
