The San Antonio-based retailer is creating a $1 million fund president Craig Boyan said would be used to advance the conversation around race and racial inequities.
The service allows delivery from every H-E-B, Central Market and Joe V’s location in Texas with no membership fees or minimum order requirements, the company said.
The H-E-B Meyerland Market is a 95,000-sq.-ft., two-story store that replaces one that closed due to damage sustained from floods in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
H-E-B is investing in growing its footprint in south Austin, announcing a $200 million investment that will bring three new stores to the area and remodel an existing location. The company said it’s expecting to create more than 1,000 jobs with the effort.
