Dave Wendland, vice president strategic relations and member of the owner’s group at HRG, will present three webinars for the National Grocers Association starting next month, entitled: Independent Grocery Strategy Series. The webinars will occur in April, May and June. The first one, Back to the Basics: Science of Selection, is April 19 at 2 p.m. EDT, and is open for registration. The dates and times for the other two webinars are as follows:

  • Back to the Basics: Art of Arrangement, May 17 at 2 p.m. EDT
  • Back to the Basics: Power of Pricing, June 21 at 2 p.m. EDT

Wendland will be joined by Kyle Lentz, HRG category analyst, for the Science of Selection and Art of Arrangement webinars. In addition, HRG pricing research and analysis manager Sean Grudzinski will co-present the Power of Pricing webinar.

“Much has changed across the retail industry at large, and grocery in particular, as a result of the recent pandemic,” Wendland said. “As we highlighted during our 2022 webinar series, shopper behavior has shifted, and the behind-the-scenes operational support requires new approaches and fresh ideas.” He added, “I’m excited about this series because it examines the fundamentals of retailing through an entirely new lens.”
