Hamacher Resource Group has been named one of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's 2020 Top Workplaces, awarded to the best places to work in southeastern Wisconsin. This is the fourth year in a row that HRG has achieved the honor.

“Each year we have been awarded this honor, it has made me proud of our outstanding associates. Winning this year meant so much more, as our team has truly demonstrated who we are and stepped up during these difficult times," said Beth Maas, HRG’s human resource manager. "Even though we are all in different boats in terms of the individual hardships this pandemic has brought, we know we are going through the same storm, and that we are here for each other."

The Top Workplaces are based solely on the results of an employee survey that was administered by Energage, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Companies participating were surveyed about aspects of their workplace culture and are measured on qualities such as company leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation, benefits, and the impact company policies have on innovation and morale.

HRG also announced that it will be presenting two webinars on the Drug Supply Chain Security Act to National Community Pharmacist Association members.

The first webinar, “Navigating the Drug Supply Chain Security Act,” will air on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. ET, and the second one, “Essential Steps to Complying with DSCSA Regulations,” will be at 2 p.m. ET, on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Both webinars will be part of a weekly learning hour that NCPA hosts on Tuesdays.

“Navigating the Drug Supply Chain Security Act" will describe the origin and intent of the law, and the importance of compliance and potential penalties for non-compliance. Mandatory serialization and traceability technology, as well as FDA compliance with both should be one of the key initiatives underway at independent pharmacies.

“Essential Steps to Complying with DSCSA Regulations” will cover the actions independent pharmacies must take to fulfill the requirements of the regulation and prepare for interoperability by 2023.

Dave Wendland, vice president of strategic relations at HRG, will be presenting both webinars.

“It’s really crunch time for independent pharmacies that haven’t yet put a comprehensive compliance solution in place. These webinars will help those independents that have only a partial solution or no solution understand what exactly is required and where to focus first to meet the upcoming deadlines,” Wendland said.
