Inside look: Fresco y Más debuts Southwest Florida store

There’s a new Fresco y Más store in town.

The banner, which is part of the Southeastern Grocers family, has opened to the doors to its first Southwest Florida location.

Located at 1145 Homestead Road North in Lehigh Acres, Fl., the grocery store offers shoppers a specialized shopping experience that focuses on celebrating Hispanic culture and the community’s unique flavors and offerings, the company said.

“Winn-Dixie has proudly served the Lehigh Acres community for more than 30 years and we are pleased to now be able to introduce the community to our growing Hispanic grocery store, Fresco y Más,” Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said. “By listening to customer feedback and evaluating key consumer insights, we are confident that the unique offerings available at the new Lehigh Acres Fresco y Más will fully reflect the unique tastes and needs of the local community.”

Other features shoppers will be able to find inside the store include bi-lingual signage, a refreshed produce department with a farmer’s market setting that contains a wider selection of tropical fruits and vegetables, a new Wall of Value section with weekly specials on popular items, a dollar zone, an expanded café with seating, a cocina offering daily specials of freshly prepared foods, and a brand new butcher shop and bakery department.

In addition, as part of its grand opening ceremony, Fresco y Más will present a $1,000 donation to the Lehigh Community Service, which aids in efforts to alleviate hunger and provide emergency services to the community.

Lehigh Acres’ Fresco y Más will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
