Lupin is introducing mesalamine extended-release capsules in a dosage strength of 0.375 g.

The product is the authorized generic of Bausch Health’s Apriso (mesalamine extended-release capsules).

The medication is indicated for the maintenance of remission of ulcerative colitis in patients 18 years of age and older.

Apriso had a market value of approximately $290 million, according to March 2020 IQVIA data.
