Murphy’s Naturals is debuting a new Refillable Mosquito Repellent Candle with a sustainable design.
The new candle features a nature-stoneware vessel in Cloud White, Stone Gray or Forest Green.
The reusable vessel comes with a bamboo lid and a candle made from essential oils that repel mosquitoes for up to 30 hours, the company said, noting that "when the candle burns out, add another refill tin to the vessel and achieve citrusy bliss with every hammock session and porch cocktail, season after season."
“This is an exciting time for Murphy’s Naturals, and we hope that our new products like the Refillable Mosquito Repellent Candle will allow people to enjoy life outdoors even more than they already do, especially as we approach summer,” said Philip Freeman, Murphy’s Naturals founder and CEO. “With a product that’s plant-based, recyclable, and reusable, we are aiming to create solutions for life’s outdoor adventures while minimizing our footprint on the planet.”
The Refillable Mosquito Repellent Candle contains 5% plant-based repellent oils, which is higher than the industry standard, making it more effective and better-smelling than most mosquito-repelling candles on the market, the company said.
Other materials and ingredients also are responsibly sourced, like the candle’s beeswax, which comes from Koster Keunen, a USAID partner that provides support and training to independent beekeepers in West Africa. In addition, Murphy’s Naturals donates 2% of its annual revenue to organizations that support its vision of a healthy global environment.
