    Kroger creates e-commerce business unit

    Kroger is continuing to improve the online customer experience by creating a new e-commerce business unit. 

    To lead this new division, Yael Cosset, the senior vice president and chief information officer at the retailer, will be taking over as the newly appointed executive vice president and chief digital officer. 

    In this role, Cosseet will oversee technology and data for the company, as well as the newly launched e-commerce unit. 

    "Accelerating Kroger's eCommerce growth is a top priority," said Ron Sargent, Kroger's Chairman and CEO. "As the architect of Kroger's digital strategy, Yael will continue to make it easier for customers to shop for our fresh, affordable food."

    CoverGirl is helping consumers enhance their complexions with a new product—TruBlend Skin Enhancer Balms. 

    The blendable contour, blush and highlight sticks are infused with a blend of buildable color and give skin a natural sculpt, flush and dewy glow. 

    Made with a non-greasy formula that is infused with jojoba oil, raspberry extract and pomegranate extract, the products come in a variety of shades that melt easily into the skin, per the brand.

    Häagen-Dazs launches summer-inspired sorbet flavors

    Häagen-Dazs is expanding its frozen offerings with the launch of not one but three new sorbet flavors. 

    "Today, we're making it official—this summer will be the season of sorbet," said Rachel Jaiven, head of Häagen-Dazs marketing. "With the launch of our three new Häagen-Dazs Sorbet flavors, we're celebrating bold fruit flavor pairings and growing our portfolio of delicious, non-dairy sorbets that make every moment feel like summer, no matter the time of year."

    Available in three flavors, consumers can choose from: 

    • Summer Blueberry & Lemon: Made from blueberries from the Pacific Northwest, this flavor also contains notes of lemon flavors;
    • Passion Fruit & Sweet Pear: Contains passion fruit combined with a touch of pear; and
    • Sweet Lemon Coconut: Featuring tart lemon notes combined with coconut cream. 

    Consumers can find Häagen-Dazs’ new sorbet flavors retailing for $6.99 at stores nationwide.

    Coola rolls out Firming Oils collection

    Coola, the SPF and beauty brand, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of a new line of skin care essentials. 

    New from the brand is the Firming Oils collection, which consists of two products—Firming Face Oil SPF 30 and Firming Body Oil Mist SPF 30. 

    Designed to firm, smooth and protect the skin, the oils are both organic and lightweight, per the brand. 

    Both products contains active levels of bakuchiol, a natural retinol alternative that helps support the skin’s collagen production; as well as vitamins C, D and E to aid in supporting the skin’s natural barrier. 

    Also included is Kalahari melon seed oil for moisture retention, moringa seed oil for quick absorption and sea buckthorn oil to help preserve the skin’s vitality, the company said.

    Topo Chico Sabores unveils latest flavor additions

    Topo Chico’s Sabores lines of beverages, which consist of flavored sparkling waters blended with minerals, is launching two new flavors. 

    Raspberry with lemon and tropical mango are the latest additions, which are free of added sugar and artificial ingredients, per the brand.  

    Available across a variety of retailers including Kroger, Walmart and Target, the new Topo Chico Sabores will be offered in an eight-pack of 12-oz. slim cans.

    Not Your Mother’s Haircare elects new CMO

    There’s been a leadership change for hair care brand Not Your Mother’s Haircare. 

    The brand announced that Charlene Zappa has been named its new chief marketing officer. 

    As CMO, she will oversee all marketing initiatives, focusing on deepening consumer connections and helping fuel the brand’s latest goals for innovation and growth.

    Before joining the company, Zappa held various executive roles at Gillette Venus, Pantene, Clairol Herbal Essences and Clairol Nice ‘n Easy. 

    She also has earned recognition throughout her career, including 2022 Cannes and Clio Awards, 2021 Top 20 TikTok Culture Driver and Nielsen Breakthrough and IRI Pacesetter Top 20 Non-Food Launches in 2019, 2017 and 2015.
