CARLISLE, Pa. — Ahold USA on Tuesday announced position changes or expansions for three of its executives. The company has appointed Stop & Shop New York Metro division president Andrew Sussman to the position of EVP merchandising. Sussman replaces Andrew Iacobucci, who has decided to leave the company for an opportunity outside of the retail grocery industry.
Sussman will bring more than 37 years of retail experience, focused largely on marketing and merchandising, and his experience leading three of Ahold USA’s four retail divisions to the role.
In addition to Sussman’s new position, Ahold USA said Bob Yager, most recently SVP supply chain at Ahold Delhaize company Retail Business Services, would be returning to the Stop & Shop New York Metro division as SVP and division lead. He will oversee the division’s day-to-day operations.
The company also announced that Ahold USA SVP merchandising strategy and support, Nick Bertram, would be expanding his role to include day-to-day merchandising operations, ongoing integration with Delhaize America and vendor collaboration. Bertram has been with Ahold USA for nearly four years working to improve the company’s merchandising operations and strategy, the company said.
“We wish Andrew all the best and thank him for his contributions during his time at Ahold USA,” Ahold USA COO Kevin Holt said. “We are fortunate to have a strong merchandising leadership team in place. I am confident these appointments will continue the excellent merchandising support of our strong local brands and help them to accelerate and drive their businesses forward.”
