American Greetings expands iPhone application to include retail coupons

CLEVELAND American Greetings, which launched its iPhone application this past summer, has expanded to include the option for consumers to take advantage of special coupons for paper greetings, redeemable at American Greetings retailers nationwide.

This innovative savings opportunity helps consumers find the perfect card, American Greetings said.

"We have received great feedback from consumers on the iPhone application, and we are excited to bring this successful app to the greeting card aisle," said Dan Miller, VP product management and user experience at AmericanGreetings.com. "This is a great example of how American Greetings is continuing to expand our presence for consumers to offer solutions and great value wherever they shop."

The current offer, good now through Dec. 31, 2009, gives consumers $1 off any three greeting cards purchased. All current and new users of the American Greetings app will be able to redeem the coupon as soon as they launch the application. The coupon is then e-mailed to the shopper, and can be printed out and redeemed at retail.
