BOULDER, Colo. — Ancient Harvest announced a new line of hot cereals that feature a blend of quinoa, millet, amaranth and gluten-free rolled oats. The cereals can be prepared either by adding water and heating in a microwave or by cooking on a stovetop.
"One of our goals has always been to provide a wide variety of great-tasting meal options for consumers who have diet restrictions or are looking for healthier options, including at breakfast," said Blake Waltrip, CEO, Ancient Harvest. "Many of our consumers have been using our quinoa and quinoa flakes to incorporate ancient grains into their morning routine for years, so we are happy to now be offering a quick and nutritious complete breakfast option."
The new line comes in a box of six packets and is available in five varieties: Apple Cinnamon, Banana and Brown Sugar, Maple Morning, Honey Vanilla Spice and Traditional. The manufacturer suggested retail price is $6.99. Consumers can expect to see Ancient Harvest hot cereals on retail shelves this winter.
