SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Customers at a New England supermarket chain who belong to its savings club can get two-week supplies of antibiotics for free.
Big Y Foods, which operates 57 stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts, announced that customers with the Express Savings Club Card would be eligible to receive 29 generic antibiotics for free starting on July 23.
“With families struggling to afford health care, we are delighted to expand our free antibiotic program in advance of the cold and flu season,” Big Y president and COO Charles D’Amour said in a statement. “Along with our affordable generics program, this free antibiotics program is one more way that our Big Y health and wellness initiatives support our communities.”
