Boulder Canyon brings natural, baked sweet potato fries to snack aisle

8/1/2013

PHOENIX — Natural snack food brand Boulder Canyon announced this week new Baked Sweet Potato Fries, a completely natural snack that mirrors the shape, taste and texture of the side dish found in restaurants across the country.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries are made with natural ingredients and feature no trans fats, zero cholesterol and just one gram of saturated fat. In addition, the snacks are gluten free, Kosher certified and contain no genetically modified organisms.

Boulder Canyon Baked Sweet Potato Fries are seasoned with just the right amount of salt to complement the natural sweetness of the potato, the company stated.

"Unlike a chip, our Baked Sweet Potato Fries really embody the form and taste of french fries which sets them apart from other sweet potato snacks on the market today," said Laura Setzfand, vice president of marketing for Boulder Canyon Natural Foods.

According to Boulder Canyon, sale of sweet potato snacks is up over 1,200% year-to-date. Sweet potatoes are recognized for being inherently rich with vitamin A, vitamin C, Potassium and Beta-Carotene, a vital antioxidant that promotes overall health.

Since 1994, Boulder Canyon Natural Foods has been delivering premium kettle-cooked potato chips that feature all natural ingredients cooked in better-for-you sunflower or safflower oils. In addition to kettle-cooked chips, Boulder Canyon offers Vegetable Crisps, Hummus Chips and Rice & Adzuki Bean Chips as part of a product line that consists of more than 20 unique all-natural snacks.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries appear in grocery stores in August with a retail price of $2.99-3.29 per 7.5-oz. bag.
