Canada's Skinfix eczema solutions to debut at U.S. Target stores

NOVA SCOTIA — Skinfix, a manufacturer of steroid-free skin healing solutions, will debut this month its dry skin and eczema solutions exclusively at all Target stores in the United States and online at Target.com.


All Skinfix products are based on an original skin-soothing formula created over 150 years ago by pharmacist Thomas Dixon in Yorkshire, England. As generations passed, Dixon’s descendants
immigrated to Canada, bringing his recipe with them and selling it in their local community. Dixon’s formula became the foundation for Skinfix, which debuted in new packaging in Canada last fall.



Skinfix is now entering the United States with three formulas — 
Skinfix Body Repair Balm, Hand Repair Cream and Daily Lotion, offering customers an alternative to prescriptions or OTC steroids for the treatment of eczema and dry irritated, skin.



The Skinfix Body Repair Balm, is clinically proven to treat eczema, dryness and dermatitis, without harsh ingredients, the company stated. Body Repair Balm has a skin barrier-building texture, contains no water and uses 2% colloidal oatmeal to soothe redness and itching. Skinfix products also contain such ingredients as natural butters, botanicals and protective emollient oils to repair the skin barrier.



The Skinfix Hand Repair Cream is formulated for severely dry, cracked skin, occupational dermatitis and eczema. The product is ideal for frequent hand washers and those prone to the irritation associated with eczema, according to the company. 



Skinfix Daily Lotion is an everyday, lightweight moisturizing body lotion that keeps dry, eczema-prone skin healthy and soft.


Skinfix products are available at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com. Body Repair Balm and Hand Repair Cream are sold in 2-oz. tubes for $17.99. Daily Lotion is offered in 12 oz. pump bottles for $24.99. All three are free of fragrance, parabens, phthalates and steroids.
