Celebrating community pharmacy

October marks the start of many festivities, including a month-long celebration focusing on pharmacists.

American Pharmacist month officially began on Saturday with a call to action to help educate patients to “Know Your Pharmacists, Know Your Medicine.”

The American Pharmacist Association established American Pharmacists Month with the overall goal of promoting "pharmacists as medication experts, integral members of the health care team, (who are) directly involved in patient care." Throughout the month many activities are planned to highlight the important work that is done every day by pharmacists across the country.

To help spread the word about all the things community pharmacies are doing to help patients “Know Your Pharmacists, Know Your Medicine,” Drug Store News needs to hear from you. Each month DSN publishes articles that highlight pharmacies, preceptors, mentors and technicians who are making a difference. Tell DSN about your experiences with:
