The Compliance Team unveils provider accreditation for retail clinics

8/11/2013

LAS VEGAS — The Compliance Team on Saturday unveiled its Exemplary Provider Accreditation for Retail Clinics at the 2013 NACDS Total Store Expo. These are customized service-specific accreditation programs that feature common-sense Safety-Honesty-Caring quality standards and evidence of compliance.

"Retail or 'walk-in' clinics are one of health care’s fastest growing sectors," stated Sandy Canally, president of The Compliance Team. “Now that the Accountable Care Act is moving towards full implementation, these 'on-demand' clinics will play an increasingly important role in handling patients with non-urgent medical needs.”

Much like The Compliance Team’s other Exemplary Provider accreditation offerings, the retail clinic program is based on setting in-place comprehensive quality improvement measures that streamline day-to-day operations leading to a simplified accreditation process. Expert guided teleconferences and webinars, access to scores of documents, and a web-based patient satisfaction and outcomes reporting portal are included at no extra charge; all are value-added accreditation firsts that The Compliance Team started building into its Exemplary Provider programs beginning in 1998.

“In the near future, a patient with a non-urgent medical need, it could be a child’s parent or guardian, will have more convenient treatment options," Canally said. "Our bet is that they are going to choose a clinic that is certified as offering exemplary care.”
